Winter in Louisiana, 2010

"Winter in Louisiana" is about a chain gang prisoner desperately dreams for a break in the heavy meaningless work he and his gain endure. His wish and more is granted when his chain breaks.

A heavy pickaxe, and chain aren't the only things weighing down on this daydreamers spirit. Mocking guards, cold weather, meaningless work and no end in site are enough to break the spirit. However rare snow flurry in Louisiana distract the guards long enough for this daydreamer to make an escape. A chase through the woods provides hope but not a miracle. A reindeer will provide that. Originally inspired by, " Children Go Where I Send Thee/Jingle Bells", from the album, New England Christmas Tide 2.

"Winter in Louisiana" was shot on 8mm film and transferred to HD for editing. The looks of the film will be very gritty and dramatic to enhance the desolation of the main characters situation and only at the very end will the comic "Santa Ex Machina" appear. This is intended to show the power of imagination and daydreaming. The film will be entered into festivals and used as a calling card to attract investors to bigger projects.
